Hello! Thanks for dropping by to take a look at ImageSmith. My name is Sharon Smith and I have been involved in digital photography for over 11 years, as well as working professionally in IT. Over the years my passion for technology and how it affects our lives developed into an idea of marrying my two passions together. ImageSmith was born and is now offering high quality professional scanning of slides, negatives and photos, restoration and editing, as well as artful re-creation of digital images.
You take down a box from a cupboard you haven’t looked in for years, dust it off and remember how you had carefully “curated” the contents, you remove the lid and in this exciting moment you sight an image that brings back memories. It doesn’t look quite as good as your remember it, the colour has faded, you dig a little deeper and there are the old black and white images of your great-grandparents, they are looking a bit creased and dog-eared, who knows what’s on the negatives and slides! You bring them out into the light of day, what are you going to do with them now….put them back in the box? You decide to have them digitized, so they can be viewed, shared and copied, you can take these old forgotten treasures and turn them into prints, canvases, books or slides with ease, providing memories, mementos and joy for friends and family.
